Our Proccess:

If you think that the time has come for an estate sale, do your research and please contact P & L Estate Sales.  We will answer any initial questions you have and, if you are ready, we will schedule a free consultation that should take place in the home where the sale is to be held.

1. The Consultation:

We will discuss your needs, what is most important to you, and your goals for the sale.  We would love to tell you a bit

about P & L as we are passionate about what we do and we think it is important that we get to know each other a bit.  We will explain the process and our pricing structure.

If, and only if you are comfortable and ready to continue we will formalize:

The timeline for the staging.

The dates for the sale.

The after sale process and options.

Sign the contract – There are no upfront costs.

2.  The Sort and Set-up:

We will ask that you remove any items from the house that you do not want to sell. We can also make arrangements to close off certain rooms or mark some items as not for sale if it is not practical to move them prior to the sale.

We will then sort through the items in the house making sure that they are in the best possible condition.  We would love to hear stories about items that may be special to you or your family. Customers that come to our sales do often enjoy hearing about the history of pieces that they are buying.

We bring in tables and shelving to guarantee all items are displayed nicely.

We will research items and consult other professionals as needed.

   3. The Sale:

We will fully staff the sale.

We will use signage to keep people out of areas of the house that are not to be entered.

We will post signs informing people about steps or other trip hazards.

The house will be comfortable and well staged with visible labels and prices.

We will always respect your home and manage the traffic flow so as not to allow the house to become overcrowded.

4. After The Sale:

You will receive the proceeds from the sale along with a summary sheet of total sales within

seven (7) days after the final date of the sale.

The items remaining in the house will be dealt with based on the terms of your contract.  We will never take items for ourselves, nor will we take them to another estate sale we host.  We do not have a storefront.  Be wary of companies that do.  We feel that that is a conflict of interest.  Our only goal is to sell the contents of your home,  from your home on the days of the sale.
